This itinerary includes the main attraction of Uganda - the habituated mountain gorillas! Logistically, you will fly between Entebbe and Bwindi National Park to spend a whole day trekking through the forest and spending an hour with these incredible primates.

1

Arrive in Entebbe, Uganda

Make your own way to Entebbe airport in Uganda. You will be met on arrival and transferred to No.5 Boutique Hotel for 1 night on a B&B basis.

2

Fly to Bwindi National Park

Transferred to the domestic airport to fly to Bwidni Impenetrable National Park (the flight is approximately 1.5 hours). Met on arrival and transferred to Buhoma Lodge to stay for 2 nights on a full board basis.

Bwindi National Park is home to the endangered mountain gorillas. This fascinating mountain forest hosts chimpanzees and spectacular birds. There are 23 of the 24 Albertine Rift endemic bird species including Blue-throated Broadbill, bar-tailed Trogon and other beautiful forest species. You shall relax this afternoon and be fit and ready for the gorilla trekking the next day!

Gorilla trekking, Bwindi National Park

This morning you will get up very early and for gorilla trekking. Trekking the Mountain Gorilla is one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. The trek will take between 2 and 6 hours, but is well worth the effort. You will be led by an experienced ranger who will tell you interesting facts about flora and fauna and the lifestyle of the Gorillas.

Overnight in Buhoma Lodge on a full board basis. Gorilla permit cost is included in this itinerary.

4

Fly back to Entebbe, head home

After breakfast, you will drive to Kihihi Airstrip and fly back to Entebbe enjoying the beautiful aerial view of south western Uganda, the hills and thick vegetation as well as the farming practiced by the locals. Afterwards you will be transferred to the international airport to connect onto your international flights home.
