Review

Islands of Siankaba is a unique luxury lodge located on islands on the Zambezi River. As it is around 45 kilometres from Livingstone, it is definitely one of the most peaceful lodges you can stay in during your visit to Victoria Falls. There are a wealth of activities on offer and a generous amount are included in your accommodation rate which means there is plenty to do!

Location

This luxury lodge is located on two densely forested private islands on the mighty Zambezi River. Further along the river in a different location, you will reach Victoria Falls on the Zimbabwe/Zambia border, and Chobe National Park in Botswana. The islands are linked by suspension bridges and so offers a private and peaceful stay compared to the busy Livingstone area.

Layout

Islands of Siankaba is made up of seven chalets which are luxurious in every sense of the word. The rooms sat on raised platforms and set within the tree canopy on the banks of the river. The lodge feels spacious, with lots of different areas to eat, sit and relax such as the terrace overlooking the river, or the swimming pool surrounded by comfortable loungers.

Rooms

The rooms themselves have canvas walls and offer views out to the Zambezi River. The rooms each have a well-appointed en-suite bathroom, a private viewing deck, ceiling fans, private safes, mini-bars. Comfortable beds with down duvets and pillows, and tea and coffee making facilities.

Activities

Included activities: a guided tour of Victoria Falls (choice of Zambian or Zimbabwe side but passport conditions apply), sunset cruise, fishing (seasonal and strictly catch and release), makoro trips, guided nature trail walk, cultural tour of Siankaba village by foot or mountain bike, visit to community nursery school and an island picnic lunch.
