The Best of Zambia
Zambia's 'best bits' in an exhilarating 9-day itinerary!
This 'best bits of Zambia' itinerary combines the mighty Victoria Falls, the South Luangwa National Park and the exhilarating Lower Zambezi National Park. If you want to tick off Zambia with all its highlights, this is the itinerary for you.
Make your own way to Livingstone Airport, Zambia
Met on arrival in Livingstone airport and transferred to Waterberry Lodge to stay for 2 nights on a full board basis.
The rate at Waterberry Lodge includes full board accommodation (all meals and drinks), 2-in-house activities a day (these include a tour of Victoria Falls, a sunset or day cruise along the Zambezi, fishing, island picnics, birding and guided walks).
Although a visit to Victoria Falls can often be quite hectic (as there are so many activities on offer), it is common for guests to spend a few days at Victoria Falls to relax before or after a Zambian safari. Whilst a day trip to Victoria Falls is highly recommended, as well as fulfilling all of your adrenaline needs with activities and adventures, Waterberry Lodge also encourages guests to sit by the Zambezi River, read a book and relax the serenity of the landscape.
South Luangwa National Park
Transferred from Waterberry Lodge to Livingstone airport in time for the Proflight flight to Mfuwe. Met on arrival and transferred to Kakuli Camp to stay for 3 nights on a full board basis including all game activities on a shared basis.
South Luangwa National Park is located on Zambia’s eastern side and is considered the finest safari park in Zambia! The park is famed for its plentiful game, its variety of game viewing activities and most importantly, its exceptionally high quality of guiding and walking safaris that has raised the bar across all of Africa! At a size of nine thousand square kilometres, the topography of the park is one of the most varied in Zambia as the Luangwa River winds through vast open plains, dense woodlands and waterlogged marshes.
The rate at Kakuli Camp includes full board accommodation (all meals and drinks), all game-viewing activities on a shared basis, park fees and conservation levies, and airstrip transfers.
Lower Zambezi National Park
Transferred back to Mfuwe airport in time for the Proflight flight to the Lower Zambezi National Park (Jeki airstrip). Met on arrival and transferred to Chongwe River Camp to stay for 3 nights on a full board basis including all game viewing activities on a shared basis.
The Lower Zambezi Valley is a huge rift in the earth’s crust that homes the mighty Zambezi River and two national parks either side (Mana Pools National Park sits on the Zimbabwean side and on the Zambian side, is the infamous Lower Zambezi National Park). With the exception of rhino, giraffe and cheetah, the Lower Zambezi homes all of the desirable big game. On the land, plentiful predators, herds of elephant and buffalo can be seen; and on the water, boat trips along the Zambezi give you the chance to see hippos, crocodile and an array of bird life.
The rate at Chongwe Camp includes full board accommodation (all meals and drinks), all game-viewing activities on a shared basis, park fees and conservation levies, and airstrip transfers
Back home!
Transferred back to Jeki airstrip in time for the Proflight flight to fly to Lusaka to connect onto your international flights home.
Please note that the above is on a full board basis unless otherwise shown and does NOT include international flights.
