A week in Zambia combining the world famous Victoria Falls and the world famous South Luangwa National Park.
If you only have a week to travel Zambia, this itinerary will cover the essentials. Spend 2 nights at Victoria Falls to fit in all of the adrenaline activities the falls has to offer, and then head to the best destination for a safari in the country - the South Luangwa National Park.
Victoria Falls
Met on arrival in Livingstone Airport and transferred to Tongabezi to stay for 2 nights on a full board basis.
The rate at Tongabezi includes full board accommodation (all meals and drinks) and all activities. These include: sunrise and sunset boat trips on the Zambezi, guiding canoeing excursions (depending on the water levels and hippo activity), lunch on a local island with guided walks, fishing, a visit to the Victorian falls on the Zambian side, game drive in the Mosi-Oa-Tuna National park, walk in the gorge below the falls, a cultural visit to the museum, local village visit and a mountain bike trail to the local village.
Nkwali Camp, South Luangwa National Park
Transferred to Livingstone airport to fly to the South Luangwa National Park (Mfuwe airport). Met on arrival and transferred to Nkwali Camp to stay for 3 nights on a full board basis.
Nkwali Lodge is sat on the banks of the Luangwa River, on private land owned and run by Robin Pope Safaris. Its position, outside of the parks boundaries, means that exclusivity and privacy are combined with excellent game viewing… the perfect combination for those looking for a bit of seclusion!
The rate at Nikwali Camp includes full board accommodation (all meals and drinks), all game-viewing activities, national park fees and conservation levies, and airstrip transfers.
Tena Tena Camp, South Luangwa National Park
Transferred to the Nsefu sector of the park to stay in Tena Tena for 2 nights on a full board basis.
Tena Tena has long been a safari favourite in South Luangwa National Park and as the original Robin Pope Safari camp, it is clear why! With cosy tents and open-plan bathrooms, the accommodation at Tena Tena is authentic and provides a beautiful base when you return back from a day of game viewing.
The rate at Tena Tena Camp includes full board accommodation (all meals and drinks), all game-viewing activities, national park fees and conservation levies, and airstrip transfers.
Back home!
Transferred back to Mfuwe airport to fly to Lusaka and connect onto international flights home (booked by you).
