As there is not a huge selection of properties on Pemba Island, this is a fantastic new edition to the island! The Constance Aiyana features 30 villas which each look out to the ocean, a variety of facilities such as a swimming pool, gym and spa, and all within beautiful grounds of tropical gardens. The hotel is a great choice for those looking for simple luxury in the north of the island.

Location

The Aiyana is located on Pemba Island - an island situated off the eastern coast of Tanzania, north of Zanzibar Island. This luxurious hotel sits at the vert north of the island, within the vicinity of the Ngezi Forest Reserve. The surroundings are lush and green but Manta Beach is within walking distance, and Vumawimbi Beach is close by. The transfer from Pemba airport to the Constance Aiyana is around one and a half hours.

Layout

The Aiyana has 30 individual villas which are designed with neutral tones and modern touches. There are plenty of facilities – a large swimming pool which overlooks the beach, a restaurant, a shisha lounge, a small gallery and shop and a gym and wellness spa. Well-kept gardens connect the facilities so you can walk through your very own tropical paradise every morning.

Rooms

The villas are spacious, neutral and inviting. They each face the ocean and have en-suite bathrooms that feature indoor and outdoor showers, inviting you to enjoy the beauty of Pemba Island as much as you can. The villas are clean and simple in their design but this works really well – it creates an elegant beach vibe which contrasts nicely with the vibrant green tones of the island.

Activities

There is plenty to do at Constance Aiyana – the main activity being diving and snorkeling from the island. In addition, you can go kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, fishing or go for an island or plantation tour. Bicycles are available to rent if you’d like to explore the island during your stay and of course, the spa and wellness centre in the hotel is always an option to enjoy!
