Located in a private conservancy in the western Serengeti, Faru Faru boasts an exclusive and ultimate luxury safari experience. While the price tag is slightly higher than some of its contemporaries, it’s main trump card is that there is nobody else here and, as such, at times, you can feel like you have the entire Serengeti all to yourselves. Definitely one of our top picks but it is worth noting that it’s owner does like to be here in the peak migration months of June and July and so availability can be an issue.

Location

Faru Faru shares the Grumeti private conservancy with its sister properties, Sasakwa and Sabora Tented Camp. It is the most eastern camp out of the three, and its location allows for an exclusive safari experience. There is plentiful resident game in this Grumeti area but the game viewing is exceptional in the months of June and July as the lodge sits in the heart of the migratory route.

Layout

Faru Faru has everything you’d want from a 5-star property and being surrounded by incredible wildlife is the cherry on top! Two swimming pools, spa and gym facilities and nine stunning suites make up the lodge and its contemporary interior throughout will take your breath away!

Rooms

The nine suites are very spacious and well-appointed, designed elegantly with the use of glass, wood and stone. The rooms each have indoor and outdoor showers, air-conditioning and views out to the wilderness.

Activities

- As well as having a more private safari experience, the benefits of staying in a private conservancy is there is a greater variety of activities, included guided bush walks, anti-poaching post visits, community visits, family activities and of course, game drives in the camps state-of-the-art open-sided Land Rovers.
