Review

Opening its doors in February 2017, Katambuga House is a relatively new property in Arusha, sat in a desirable location among the coffee estates. The house and the rooms itself, which can host up to 14 guests, feels cosy and welcoming – the perfect environment for a night’s stay before or after your safari.

Location

Katambuga House sits in a peaceful area surrounded entirely by coffee estates and the House itself boots stunning views of the Great Mount Meru. It is on the outskirts of the hustling town of Arusha, but conveniently located opposite Arusha airport, making it the perfect base before or after your safari.

Layout

Katambuga House is made of 6 beautiful rooms which all sit on the expansive grounds surrounded by lush and neat gardens. The main lounge and dining area is very welcoming, with a roaring fireplace surrounded by comfortable sofas with blankets draped over them. The grounds are peaceful and neat, with stepping stones leading you out to the pool and outdoor seating area.

Rooms

The main house itself offers four spacious rooms, each with en-suites and private verandas looking out onto the lush gardens. There is also a family cottage which offers two interconnecting en-suite rooms, perfect for families and groups. All of the rooms are modern and well-appointed.
