Machweo House

Location

This quaint little guesthouse is located on the way out of Arusha and looks out to the slopes of Mount Meru. The hotel is in a good location for those staying in Arusha the night before or after a safari as both Kilimanjaro, Arusha airport, and Arusha town are all easily accessible.

Layout

The rooms are spread out along a stone walkway. The rooms are all accessible to the main area, which homes the reception area, pool, outdoor seating, and the restaurant. The chef is a Michelin-star chef and is an exquisite asset to Machweo and Onsea House. The sister property (Onsea House) share the same amenities but they are separated by tropical gardens so it always feels spacious.

Rooms

The rooms are spacious and elegant. The beds (either twin or double) are comfortable and the fabrics are all light-coloured and soft, making the room feel welcoming and bright. The ensuite bathrooms are spacious, with a large shower and all of the amenities. Some of the rooms are perfect for honeymooners or couples as they have large bathtubs and comfortable living areas.

Activities

Arusha is usually a destination for an overnight stop, either after a long-haul flight or before a flight home. For those looking to relax in Arusha for a few days, Machweo House is the perfect place as the accommodation, location, ambiance and staff are all boxes ticked off.
